Goodwill Outlet Haul

I. Love. The. Goodwill. Outlet. Store. That's all.  So, have you ever shopped at a Goodwill Outlet Store? They have huge blue bins and you just dig and dig and dig and find amazing stuff. It's my therapy. Clothes and housewares are prices by the pound and other things are usually priced cheaper than the regular Goodwill store.  I went there last night for my "Mommy Night". It seriously is so fun.  Here's what I got from there last night.  (Look at the bottom to see how much I paid!) 0-3 Month infant shoes-these are going in a baby shower gift. 4T Jillian's Closet Dress Cookbook I've been wanting to read this book for a little while! A completely unused hardcover notebook A women's black dress skirt that I'm cutting down to make a skirt for my oldest girl for church. Gap shirt for me. St. Johns Bay shirt for me. 5T WonderKids Dress PJ Shirt for my oldest.

Aldi had a ham shank on sale for .89/lb. I bought one that was a little over 9 lbs. for a $8.16. Here are the 5 meals that I made with this one ham. 1. Baked Ham 2. Ham Salad Spread 1 1/2 cups fully cooked ham, chopped or ground 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1 Tablespoon relish (I used dill, you could do sweet if you prefer) 1 hard boiled egg, chopped 1/8 tsp onion powder 1/8 tsp fully prepared mustard Mix Together and Enjoy! (4-6 servings) 3. Loaded Baked Potato Soup 4. Scalloped Potatoes with Ham 5. White Beans and Ham

Bi-Weekly Meal Plan

Here is my Meal Plan for the next two weeks! I shopped at Aldi ($70) Walmart ($14) Discount Grocery Store ($50). About $134 for two weeks and this includes non-food items such as shampoo, toilet paper, plastic wrap, etc and I even got a picture frame for a baby present at Aldi! I did have some ground beef and pork chops left from last week, and I found chicken breasts at the discount store, so I didn't have to spend much in the way of meat. I bought some breakfast sausage and a whole chicken. Meal Plan for 1/30-2/13 1. Tacos  I found this Taco Bell kit at the discount store for $1.19. It includes 10 flour tortillas, seasoning packet and those little orange mild sauce packets you get at the restaurant. In my opinion, those packets make the taco, so I was so excited to find this. And all this for the price of just the tortillas made me really happy. :) 2. Slow Cooker Roasted Whole Chicken 3. Parmesan Chicken 4. Cheesy Noodles 5. Loaded Chicken an

12 months+12 dates=DIY Valentine's Gift for Couples!

Usually for Valentine's Day, my husband and I go get dinner somewhere and maybe exchange cards, but that's the extent of our day. This year, I wanted to something more "lasting" and something with some thought behind it! I was looking online for ideas and found the idea to plan a years worth of dates. So, this year that's what I am planning. I was so excited about my ideas that I came up with, that I had to tell my husband what I was doing (It's really hard for me to keep secrets about happy surprises from him,) but the individual dates are still a secret from him, so there will be a surprise every month for the next 12 months! I came up with 6 outdoor activities and 6 indoor activities so that each month we can  randomly choose the dates based on the weather or what time of year it is.  I chose things that we have been wanting to do or have never done, and then some things that we just enjoy doing regularly. I also chose things that he enjoys more, and

Crispy Pepperoni Chips

Here is a delicious low-carb recipe that I found here , while looking for low-carb recipe ideas. They are so easy to make, and so yummy! I always love it when you order a pizza and there are some of the crispier pepperoni slices around the edges. That's what these are, just without the pizza. :)  These Pepperoni Chips are great for a snack... OR... Crumbled up on top of a salad. So good. Just take some pepperoni slices and place them on a paper towel lined plate, place another paper towel on top and cook for about 1 minute.  I am considering trying a more low-carb diet. Not necessarily an actual diet, but cutting way down on my carbs and focusing on more protein and vegetables. I may try this recipe with Turkey Pepperoni for an even healthier twist. Stay tuned for more low-carb recipes coming soon! I have a list of recipes that I want to try.  Do you have any ideas for a low-carb snack that's quick and easy? Let me know in the comments!
