Homemade Jello Fruit Cups

Do you know those name-brand cups that have jello with fruit in them? Dole makes some but there are other brands, too. My husband really likes these for his work, but if you buy the name brand cups, it's usally $2.59 for 4 cups. That's insane. I can buy a box of jello for about $1 (if you buy the name brand it's about a $1 but the store brand is a good bit cheaper) and a can of fruit for about the same and get double the amount of cups for less than the name brand! I usually get about 8 cups when I make these.

These are SO easy to make and so refreshing. My husband likes strawberry flavored jello with diced peaches.

So all you need is a large can of fruit and one large box of jello. You will also need 8 small containers with lids. These are the Glad brand and there was 8 in a box for about $2.00. But you will be reusing them so you will save money in the long run.

First, I dice up the fruit.

Then I place a small amount in each cup. It's filled up maybe 1/4 or 1/3 of the way.

Then make the jello as directed on the box.

Then pour jello into the cups until it's as full as the lid allows.

Chill until jello is set!

Another flavor we like is raspberry jello with pears.

My $100 Kitchen Cabinet Makeover!

I'm so excited to share today's post. It's something I've been working on for about 2 months, on and off. But it is finished and so today I'm sharing how we renovated our kitchen cabinets for about $100. $5 Laundry "Room" Update

I don't have a laundry room. I have a laundry closet right off the kitchen. I actually love it there because it is so convenient to keep laundry going through out the day. I wish it was a little bigger and I have future plans down the road, but for now I have to keep it organized or there is just not enough room for it all! Here was the state of my closet before. Not too bad, but there were things in there that shouldn't be in there (a sprinkler??) and it just was cluttered. Not to mention plain and boring. I think I've mentioned before on here how much I love Dollar Tree. If not, I'll say it now. I love Dollar Tree! They have some of the cutest stuff! My Frugal Cottage/Farmhouse Decor and how YOU can get it.

I have been on a decorating spree lately. I just finished my cabinets ( see them in this post here !) and so I've been changing things up a little bit. Plus spring is almost here and so I've been getting my flowers out for it! I also love to see how inexpensively I can decorate while still looking nice. I love the stuff from Pottery Barn, Magnolia Market, etc. but here on THIS blog, I'm on a budget!
