Spice Jars

I was recently told about this website called hollar.com. I love this website! They have so many things all for $5.00 or less. They have party supplies, toys, back to school supplies, home decor, kitchen utensils, clothes, accessories-you name it, they probably have it! On my first order, I had $5.00 off a $15.00 purchase AND free shipping over $10.00. I used both of these codes and bought a purse, candle with decorative lamp shade, basting brush, scarf and accessory hangers, and spice jars. All the products I received were really good quality. I was initially thinking they would be dollar store quality, but they aren't!

I wanted to share about my spice jars today. And I just wanted to add that I'm not getting paid to give this review! I just loved these spice jars and this website and wanted to share with you all!

I got 3 spice jars. Each jar is glass, but the lids are plastic. The lids have a small slot where a matching spoon fits into for storage. They aren't really big, maybe 2" high. Right now, I'm storing my spicy chicken leg seasoning in one, my ham base in the red, and my homemade taco seasoning in the blue.
The set was not branded so I have no idea what brand they are, but they are American made, which is another plus for me!

You can sign up here and receive a $2 credit on your order!* If you use this website, let me know what you think and what you bought!

*Disclaimer: If you sign up using the link above and make a purchase, I also receive a $2.00 credit. So if you use it, Thanks!

My $100 Kitchen Cabinet Makeover!

I'm so excited to share today's post. It's something I've been working on for about 2 months, on and off. But it is finished and so today I'm sharing how we renovated our kitchen cabinets for about $100. When we bought our house in a little over a year ago, I fell in love with the kitchen just by the listings photos. UPDATE!!! Check out this  post to see how I also stained my island! It was HUGE and there was about a billion cabinets. The kitchen in our old house was a pretty good size also and I knew I would not be content with a smaller kitchen. So these pictures sold me. We bought the house and moved in and I lived with the kitchen for awhile but the cabinet color was really bugging me. I liked the counter tops well enough but they clashed with the cabinets. We did not have the money to replace all those cabinets so the next decision was to either paint or stain them. I stumbled upon General Finishes Gel Stain and thought the id...

$5 Laundry "Room" Update

I don't have a laundry room. I have a laundry closet right off the kitchen. I actually love it there because it is so convenient to keep laundry going through out the day. I wish it was a little bigger and I have future plans down the road, but for now I have to keep it organized or there is just not enough room for it all! Here was the state of my closet before. Not too bad, but there were things in there that shouldn't be in there (a sprinkler??) and it just was cluttered. Not to mention plain and boring. I think I've mentioned before on here how much I love Dollar Tree. If not, I'll say it now. I love Dollar Tree! They have some of the cutest stuff! So I went there today to find some things to organize this with. Here's what I came up with. I bought the 3 aqua colored baskets today and the green and gray tray I was already using.  I wiped everything down and got to work. This is what it looks like now. The two hanging ...

Mixes to DIY to Save Time, Money and Eat Better

Lately, I have been wanting to start making more things from scratch. It saves a little bit of money and it's so much better for you. So I figured I would start simple and try homemade pancake mix and homemade instant oatmeal packets. We eat both of these quite a bit, and I'm starting to not like any store bought pancake mix and making from scratch all the time is starting to get annoying! Here is the instant oatmeal recipe I used. The only thing about this recipe that I might change next time is that 1/2 cup of mix per bag is a little too much oatmeal in one sitting for me. My husband likes it. But next time, I might only put 1/4 cup mix in each bag.  We are reusing the bags since the same thing is going to go right back in  them again. I use 2/3 cup water for each bag. Here  is the pancake mix I used. And I will have to say, I haven't used this recipe yet since I've made it, but it was a simple recipe.  What other items would ...
