Goodwill Outlet Haul

I. Love. The. Goodwill. Outlet. Store.

That's all.

So, have you ever shopped at a Goodwill Outlet Store? They have huge blue bins and you just dig and dig and dig and find amazing stuff. It's my therapy. Clothes and housewares are prices by the pound and other things are usually priced cheaper than the regular Goodwill store.

I went there last night for my "Mommy Night". It seriously is so fun.

Here's what I got from there last night.

(Look at the bottom to see how much I paid!)

0-3 Month infant shoes-these are going in a baby shower gift.

4T Jillian's Closet Dress

Cookbook

I've been wanting to read this book for a little while!

A completely unused hardcover notebook

A women's black dress skirt that I'm cutting down to make a skirt for my oldest girl for church.

Gap shirt for me.

St. Johns Bay shirt for me.

5T WonderKids Dress

PJ Shirt for my oldest.

And guess what I paid for it all???

$4.00!!
It was actually $3.91 but I rounded up to the nearest dollar for the Goodwill charity.

This is a great place to buy clothes and re-sell for a profit on places like Ebay. It can bring in a little extra side money when you need it.

Can you see why I love the Goodwill Outlet now? You will have to see if you have one close to you! Let me know if you do!

    1. They are really awesome! I hope you have one nearby! Even if there's one within an hour or two, it's a fun day trip if you are in the mood to dig! Good luck finding something!

My $100 Kitchen Cabinet Makeover!

I'm so excited to share today's post. It's something I've been working on for about 2 months, on and off. But it is finished and so today I'm sharing how we renovated our kitchen cabinets for about $100. When we bought our house in a little over a year ago, I fell in love with the kitchen just by the listings photos. UPDATE!!! Check out this  post to see how I also stained my island! It was HUGE and there was about a billion cabinets. The kitchen in our old house was a pretty good size also and I knew I would not be content with a smaller kitchen. So these pictures sold me. We bought the house and moved in and I lived with the kitchen for awhile but the cabinet color was really bugging me. I liked the counter tops well enough but they clashed with the cabinets. We did not have the money to replace all those cabinets so the next decision was to either paint or stain them. I stumbled upon General Finishes Gel Stain and thought the id...

$5 Laundry "Room" Update

I don't have a laundry room. I have a laundry closet right off the kitchen. I actually love it there because it is so convenient to keep laundry going through out the day. I wish it was a little bigger and I have future plans down the road, but for now I have to keep it organized or there is just not enough room for it all! Here was the state of my closet before. Not too bad, but there were things in there that shouldn't be in there (a sprinkler??) and it just was cluttered. Not to mention plain and boring. I think I've mentioned before on here how much I love Dollar Tree. If not, I'll say it now. I love Dollar Tree! They have some of the cutest stuff! So I went there today to find some things to organize this with. Here's what I came up with. I bought the 3 aqua colored baskets today and the green and gray tray I was already using.  I wiped everything down and got to work. This is what it looks like now. The two hanging ...

Farmhouse Bathroom Makeover in Purple & White

I get these ideas and they just won't let up until I can actually do them. My mom calls these "getting a bee in my bonnet". Well, I had a bee in my bonnet yesterday. This was our main bathroom when we moved in. These were the seller's towel and shower curtain. They had obviously updated a few things in this bathroom. But there is no window and it is very dark and dreary in here. Also, the paint was in a flat finish which shows up every dirty mark and imperfection. Plus, I just hated the color. It looks grey, but it's like a greige. I call it the color of cement. Blech. So yesterday I had had it. The seller left the paint they used and there was a full gallon of the semi-gloss extra white they had used on the baseboards, doors and trim. I love the look of bead board in bathrooms when it goes up about 2/3 of the way. But we weren't messing with that right now. I was hoping I could get a similar effect by just painting the walls white 2/3 of the way...
