As I've said in a couple of my recent posts, I'm trying to go more low-carb especially in my breakfasts and lunches.
I shared about my Turkey Lettuce Wraps which I loved and today I'll share some other ingredients I have been using.
Here is the nutrition label for the Fit&Active Flatbread Original from Aldi. With a total of 7 grams net carbs, it is a lot healthier than two pieces of my healthier whole wheat bread. I ate one of these today.
I found the Perdue Shortcuts Turkey at the discount grocery store of $1.99. I like it better than their chicken! I did buy some of the chicken also, since you really can't beat the price. I also used this in the Turkey Lettuce Wraps. This short cut meat has helped me in eating the right kind of protein at lunch. I hate cooking myself a hunk of chicken for lunch. Lunch, in my opinion, needs to be quick and easy.
The Pace Picante Sauce (Medium) is our favorite kind of store bought salsa. Sams had two of these large containers for about $4.00 awhile back.
When you pair these three ingredients with some cheddar cheese, you have a delicious quesadilla! I ate this with a little leftover mashed cauliflower from last night, plus a small apple and I am stuffed!
I'm planning on trying this flatbread as a pizza and as a sandwich wrap. I'm not sure what kind of sandwich wrap, maybe vegetarian and something else. Any ideas? I love Cesar salad wraps, I would just have to go really light on the dressing.
